Lawton, OK -- VE Testing Session
view map
We are the N7DOD Lawton VE Team, and we conduct in-person digital testing for Amateur Radio FCC licensing. We make it easy to take an exam, to get your ham radio license, no matter which element you take. Unlike paper testing, we use Google Chromebooks and ExamTools for immediate test results.
The location is at the Comanche County Fairgrounds, Wichita Room (Prairie Building), 920 SW Sheridan Rd, Lawton, OK 73505. The testing begins at 10:00 AM, after the Comanche County CERT/ARES meeting.
The fee is $14 cash, exact change is appreciated. A government-issued photo ID is required. Copy of current license or CSCE for upgrades.
You MUST have your FCC FRN available for the license application; the application cannot be processed without it.
You may go to the FCC website at: https://www.fcc.gov/wireless/support/universal-licensing-system-uls-resources/getting-fcc-registration-number-frn to register for an FRN (you will need to give them your Social Security Number).
If you have a current amateur Radio license and are planning to upgrade, please bring a copy of your current license that we can keep with your upgrade package.
Effective 4/19/2022, the FCC is assessing a fee for license applications. More information here: https://www.arrl.org/fcc-application-fee.
If you need to speak to someone, please contact Scott Burrows at N7DOD@arrl.net or (580) 280-1006 for more information.
